Veterans Day

Bates faculty, staff, and students, and Lewiston community members, gather on campus at Veterans Plaza for a ceremony on Veterans Day. Known as Veterans Day since 1954, this annual celebration on Nov. 11 began in 1919 as Armistice Day, commemorating the end of World War I.
